Church and Community Leaders

SCUPE provides various services in urban ministry and community development. We offer consultations, customized education packages and seminars to local churches, and community organizations. We also provide numerous resources through the Association for Incarnate MetroUrban Ministry (AIM).

The Association for Incarnate MetroUrban Ministry (AIM) brings urban ministry resources to organizations through an interactive network that empowers urban communities. AIM encompasses the following programs:

Congress on Urban Ministry is a biennial event where local, national, and international urban leaders gather to share ideas and discuss issues relevant to urban churches and communities.

Summer Urban Ministry Institute (SUMI) is a unique five-day institute in which lay leadership teams from urban congregations engage in urban ministry and community revitalization training programs.

Abundance in the Beloved Community (ABC) is a community time bank ministry established through partnerships with local urban churches. ABC helps churches build a strong social infrastructure and community resources.

Living in Story (LAS) is a conference that rips storytelling free from the previous modern constraints that rendered it sentimental, emotional and therapeutic. In its place, a recovered storytelling is presented as the function of the image of God that is the most powerful transformational human capacity we possess for participating with the Triune God in building the beloved community.
